When you create your first lettings advert on OpenRent, they will review and publish it in the property listings on Zoopla, Primelocation, and OpenRent.
For an optional extra fee, you can opt to add your property to Rightmove.
They constantly track the best websites on which to list your property for rent, giving you the most exposure to the highest-quality tenants. They advertise whole houses, flats, and individual rooms to lease within HMOs, so OpenRent is right for all kinds of landlords.
The extra fee for Rightmove is definitely worth it if you're finding your property isn't attracting the number of viewings you expected.
We've tried both with and without Rightmove, and it all depends on the demand at the time and the property. If the property is popular (typically smaller, such as one or two bedrooms), well presented, and in a good area, you probably don't need Rightmove. But, if the property is on the higher end of cost, is slightly unusual, or it's a quiet time, the extra expense is definitely worth it.
With our properties, we first advertise without Rightmove and see how it goes. If we haven't got the number of enquiries we hoped for after a week, we upgrade to Rightmove, and that usually increases the enquiries enough to get it let. If that doesn't work, it's time for a price drop!
