GDPR Rules for Landlords: Sharing Tenant Details

My local authority sent me this:

"For this office to update the council tax record, please provide copies of the tenancy agreements for tenants who have lived at the property since 1st November 2021. In addition, please provide contact details and a forwarding address for the tenants who are no longer living at the address so we can issue the bill for the period they are liable for the council tax charge."

I do not mind doing this, but am I allowed or breaking GDPR rules?

Council Tax

In self-contained flats or houses, the tenant usually is liable for Council Tax. Landlords should inform the Council Tax section of the local authority in writing whenever someone moves in or out of their property or if it is empty.
