Notice of Intention to Sell Goods
This form is NOT suitable if goods have been left after abandonment in Wales (but may be used for other purposes in Wales).
If a tenancy has been ended one way or another (abandonment, surrender or notice), sometimes tenants leave items and possessions in the property, which puts landlords in a difficult position because the landlord must take reasonable care of the items.
Under the Torts (Interference with Goods) Act 1977, a landlord may serve a notice of intention to sell the goods within a specified time, and this notice is for that purpose.
This notice must be completed alongside reading our goods left at the property article and should also be accompanied by the notice imposing obligation to collect the goods. There are two pages to this document.
