The rules of betterment clearly explain a landlord should not be at a financial advantage or disadvantage at the end of a tenancy allowing for fair wear and tear of a rented home.
Several things should be considered when a tenancy has ended. Is the notice valid from the tenant? Check the inventory with the tenant present. Consider fair wear and tear.
Where a tenant abandons a property, sometimes belongings are left at the property. The landlord must take care, and the tenant should be traced to impose collection of goods.
